Nova Commerce
A store that feels like a magazine.
View live demoOverview
Nova is a concept storefront for small-batch luxury outerwear. I built it to see how far I could push an e-commerce experience on feel alone — editorial product pages that sell the craft instead of competing on discount codes.
The Challenge
Templated storefronts all look the same and undersell premium products. I wanted to design something that felt as considered as the clothes it was selling, while still behaving like a real store with a working cart.
The Solution
A React storefront with editorial product pages built on GSAP scroll storytelling, a WebGL fabric close-up viewer in React Three Fiber, and a fully working cart with animated line items and a custom checkout UI (mock data).
What I built.
Editorial product pages
Long-scroll narratives with pinned images and typographic transitions.
WebGL fabric viewer
React Three Fiber close-up of fabric detail with a live material picker.
Custom cart drawer
Slide-in with animated line items, quantity controls and subtotal.
Checkout UI
A custom multi-step checkout interface (mock data, no real payments).
Instant search
Client-side search with faceted filtering across the catalogue.
Responsive by default
Tuned layouts from mobile to widescreen.
The process.
Art direction
Editorial references, a custom type system and a motion language.
Design
Product-page storytelling and the fabric viewer concept.
Build
React frontend, GSAP sequences, WebGL viewer, working cart.
The Impact
"I built Nova to see how far I could push an e-commerce storefront on feel alone — editorial product pages, a WebGL fabric viewer, and a cart that behaves like a real one."
